What is AdBlue®?
AdBlue® is a 32.5% high-purity urea solution in demineralised water, used by SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems in modern diesel vehicles. Injected into the exhaust stream, it converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapour.
It is required by Euro 4, 5 and 6 emission standards for trucks, buses, agricultural machinery and an ever-growing share of passenger cars. Quality matters: impurities can permanently damage the SCR catalyst.
